In my previous postings on veridiction (the act of verifying predictions), I have gleefully typed away to mention those folks who have made predictions only to see their words fall flat (such as the Congressional Budget Office, the Old Farmer’s Almanac, and The Washington Post sports columnist Sally Jenkins.
Today is different as I congratulate Post columnist Mike Wise for correctly identified who the Washington NFL team would pick with thier first-round draft pick, the number four pick overall. In his column of April 22, Wise wrote:
But they are going to take Trent Williams or Russell Okung, both proven offensive linemen in college. Given that Okung may go to Detroit at No. 2, I’m banking on Williams to take Chris Samuels’s old job.
And look at that, Washington went and tried to shore up their offensive line with the selection of Trent Williams.
Now I just need to wait until later today so I can see who is the 36th pick overall so I can add him to my 36-themed collection including NASCAR driver Mike Bliss and Washington Nationals relief picther Tyler Clippard.
