It’s been a while, but it’s time to get caught up on the status of my favorite (and randomly generated) number…36.
For those watching old blogs of mine, you know that I have been following Washington Nationals relief pitcher Tyler Clippard because he wears the number 36.
As of this writing, my initial euphoria concerning his early successes has faded. He’s doing respectably well with a 9-6 record and a 2.98 ERA. Then again, he is doing much better than Stephen Strasburg.
NASCAR drive Mike Bliss, who used to run his car with a 36 plastered to it, is currently in 42nd place in the Sprint Cup series. Not at all wonderful, but over in the Nationwide series, he is in 16th place. I guess that counts for something.
