Back in April of this year, I took my notion of using the number 36 (which I came up with randomly) and used it to follow the football player who was drafted with the 36th pick overall. That person turned out to be Dexter McCluster who was taken by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Now that the first week of the NFL season (the 2010-2001 edition) is over, my random pick has definitely paid off (not in any monetary vein, mind you).
Mr. McCluster was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his Monday Night performance against the San Diego Chargers. McCluster returned a punt 94 yards for a touchdown.
Not bad for this first week at the office.
