At work yesterday, instead of doing our assigned duites of finding bugs in software applications, my co-workers and I were engaged in that ritual of “Name That Movie”. Someone would throw out a line from a film and the others vied to see who could be the first to correctly identify the movie.
As we played the game, I began to wonder if there was any correlation between how easy it was to name the movie and the length of the quote (i.e., the shorter the movie line, the harder it would be to identify the movie).
Since I have no time to secure a grant, write up a proposal, and design a double-blind study, I will simply offer up these one-word quotes and see if you can name the movie:
Hmmm…I wonder how many more there are?
