Some companies, when launching a new product, have crashed on the rocks for a variety of reasons including having the name chosen being wildly inappropriate.
The glittering example of this is a company that named its shoe after a demon.
In October of 2010, I would like to offer up the following nominee for “wildly inappropriate”.
The Hyundai Motor Corporation has unveiled the name for their new 2011 luxury sedan – the Equus
I’m not sure if naming a car after a 1973 play concerning a man who has a sexual fascination with horses was such a smart idea when trying to market to the luxury audience.
