Welcome and Happy New Year !
In honor of this event, I have decided to start up a new endeavour.
Disclaimer: Actually, I was planning to kick it off on January 1, for the start of the year 2011, but I fell behind.
Using the concept of ceditra, and using my established method picking items at random (all I can tell you is that it does involve…no, maybe I won’t tell you), I have selected eleven items that I am tasking myself with finding before the next Chinese New Year.
It’s like a treasure hunt…oh, wait…it is a treasure hunt. I’m not quite sure what the rules are exactly, but my goal is to have in hand all “dozen minus one” article in my possession before the Year of the Dragon dawns.
At the moment, my only restriction (though more may come later) is that I cannot use the Internet to procure any of the items on my list.
So, without further a-dawdling, here is my Rabbit Treasure Hunt list:
–A postcard from Atlantic City
–A bag of marbles
–The liner notes from the album, Chicago 17
–A pound of coffee beans
–An advertisement for a performance of Pericles
–A letter with the logo of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
–A yuan, the currency of China
–A copy of Typhon’s Children, by Toni Anzetti
–An edition of the newspaper, Salisbury Daily Times
Wish me luck.
Hmmm…I wonder if I should go door-to-door asking for items just like the good old days?
